About Us
Founded in 1971, Atlantis is UNC Wilmington’s oldest creative magazine. We publish photography, art, nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. We also put on multimedia events, contests, and readings.
We accept submissions from undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in any public or private four-year university or community college in North Carolina. Our acceptance rate ranges from 2% to 20% depending on the number of submissions each submission period. Submissions are selected using a blind, juried process.
Atlantis publishes 3 times a year. We publish a print issue in the fall and spring. We publish a digital issue in the summer.
